Rhonda L. Lucas, 36, of Latrobe passed away Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, in Excela
Health Westmoreland Hospital after an 18-year battle with rheumatoid arthritis.
She was born July 9, 1973, in Greensburg. A former bus driver for Laidlaw,
Rhonda was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe. She enjoyed
camping and was an avid movie watcher. Rhonda had a lively personality that
often could change the spirit of a room when she arrived. She was preceded in
death by her paternal grandparents, Donald M. and Katherine DeMine, and her
maternal grandparents, Robert B. and Mildred Black. Rhonda is survived by her
parents, Donald R. and Dianne L. (Black) DeMine; her father, Ronald B. Lucas;
her fiancé, Daniel Stull of Jones Mills; three children, Josalynn R. Lucas of
Latrobe, Anima and Jacob D. Stull, both of Jones Mills; six brothers and
sisters, Donald R. DeMine and his wife, Danielle, of South Greensburg, Sheila M.
Poklembo of Youngstown, Constance J. Boyd and her husband, Christopher L., of
Belle Vernon; Ashley Barcovtch, Melinda Lucas and Carrie Grafft; aunts and
uncles, Rebecca M. and Christopher T. Glass, Elaine and Richard Serembo, Randy
and Patty DeM-ine, Ken and Peg DeMine, and Jeff DeMine, and several nieces,
nephews and cousins. Visitation will be 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Frederick
Funeral Home Inc., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A funeral service will be held 11
a.m. Friday in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe, with the Rev.
Jeffrey L. Schock officiating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
