Resident, Dies August Lundquist, a successful farmer and prominent citizen of Cook township, died at his home at 2 a. m. Saturday at the age of 83 years and 11 months. He had been a resident of the Ligonier Valley since 1902 and had served as a Cook township school director for more than 25 years. A lifelong member of the Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, he was also affiliated with the I. O. O. F. and Woodmen of the World. Mr. Lundquist was born in Sweden on November 25, 1863. He came to this country in 1891. Surviving are two sons, Emil, of Ligonier, and Henry, of Cook township, as well as four grandchildren. His wife died in 1945 and one son, Axel, was killed in World War I. Friends were received at the late home until Monday at 2 p. m., when services were held there in charge of the Rev. W. F. Adolphsen, pastor of the Youngstown parish. Interment followed in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
