Mrs. Sarah Lundquist, of Ligonier Valley, died this morning. She will he buried.
on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from her late residence and interment will
take place in the Ligonier Valley cemetery, Ligonier. The late Mrs. Lundquist
was born on August 25, 1858. She was married on August 3, 1890 to August
Lundquist and they Celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1940. They came
from Sweden to Cambria county in 1891 and in 1902 came to the Ligonier Valley
where they have made their home since that time. She Is survived by her husband
and two sons, Henry, of Ligonier Valley; and Emil, of Ligonier. Their son, Axel,
died in World War I. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Forsberg, of
Patton; and Mrs. Ida Hultkranz, of Sweden; as well as four grandchildren. Mrs.
Lundquist had been ill for the past five months. Funeral services will he in
charge of Rev. Adolphsen, pastor of the St. James Lutheran church, at
Youngstown. She was a member of the Bethel Lutheran church.
