Mrs. Jane Sarah "Jennie" Luther, 92, of Ligonier died Sunday, July 18, 1999, in
Bethlen Home, Ligonier Township. Born April 3, 1907, in Pittsburgh, she was a
daughter of the late Michael and Mary (McMullen) Brosnick. Besides her parents,
she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Brown "Luke" Luther; three
sisters, Marie Kelly, Rose Bartunek and Helen Fichter, and her brother, Vincent
Brosnick. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Mary Jane) Iscrupe of
Stahlstown and Mrs. Emmet (Katherine) Byrne of Palm Beach, Fla.; her son, James
B. (and wife, Katharine) Luther, of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren; a
great-granddaughter, and a sister, Margaret Brosnick of Pittsburgh. Visitation
will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in J. Paul McCracken Funeral Home Inc.,
144 E. Main St, Ligonier. Funeral Liturgy will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the
funeral home with the Rev. Joseph P. Maddalena officiating. Interment will be in
Morningside Cemetery, DuBois. Memorial gifts may be sent to Bethlen Home
Activity Fund, PO Box 657, Ligonier, PA 15658
