Latrobe Bulletin Fri, May 28, 2004 
Edna Mae Madill, 92, of Ligonier, formerly of Jeannette and Latrobe, died
Thursday afternoon, May 27, 2004, in Bethlen Home, Ligonier Township. She was
born Jan. 25, 1912, in Ligonier Township, a daughter of the late Lemmon and
Catherine (Heiple) Carns. Prior to retirement, Edna had been employed by
Jeannette Glass Co. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in
Ligonier. She is survived by her son, John Robert "Bob" (and his wife, Sylvia)
Madill of West Newton; granddaughter, Sondra Madill; two sisters, Lillian Ayres
of Latrobe and Gladys Stillwagon of Connellsville; a brother, Edgar Carns of
Ligonier, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by a sister, Loucetta Shirey, and three brothers, Harry, Louis
and Clyde Carns. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in J.
Paul McCracken Funeral Chapel Inc., 144 E. Main St., Ligonier, where service
will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Robert D. Cummings officiating.
Interment will follow in Ligonier Valley Cemetery, Ligonier Township.
Contributions may be made in her memory to the Ligonier Gardens Activity Fund.
