Marcinik, 89, Latrobe, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. He was born July 29, 1920, in Latrobe, son of the late Joseph and Ann (Kaballa) Marcinik. He was a retired steel worker for Standard Steel and was a member of Christ United Church of Christ. He was an Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Carl and Joseph; and three sisters, Rose, Mary and Caroline. He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Terney) Marcinik; two sons, John Marcinik and his wife, Kathy, of Georgia, and Theodore Marcinik and his wife, Denice, of Latrobe; a daughter, Diane Anderson and her husband, Thomas, of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Todd, Ryan, Mark and Theresa Marcinik; a brother, Edward Marcinik, of Md.; and a sister, Ann Burns, of N. J. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Wayne D. Sautter. A private burial will take place in St. Paul's Reformed Cemetery, Trauger. The combined funeral detail of local American Legion and VFW veterans will provide military honors at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
