Mrs. Betty H. Marcinik, 51, of 210 Avenue C, Latrobe, died Saturday, Aug. 20,
1983, in Latrobe Area Hospital. Born in Latrobe June 12, 1932, she was a
daughter of Mary Ashbaugh Smith of Latrobe RD 5 and the late Andrew J. Smith.
She was a member of Holy Family Church of Latrobe. Surviving are her husband,
Joseph M. Marcinik; two sons, Joseph M. Jr. and James A., both at home; two
daughters, Nancy Marcinik Herrod and Janie Marcinik, both of Latrobe; two
granddaughters; one brother, Andrew J. Smith of Latrobe RD 5, and five sisters:
Mrs. Mary Piper and Mrs. Michael (Agnes) Karpesky, both of Latrobe; Mrs. Edward
(Stella) Reeping of Youngstown; Mrs. Blanche McGraw of Ocala, Fla., and Mrs.
Alice Konecny of Derry. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Monday and Tuesday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home, 601 Weldon St., Latrobe.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Family
Roman Catholic Church, Latrobe. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery,
Unity Township. Members of Latrobe Volunteer Fire Department will meet at 7 p.m.
Tuesday in the funeral home for services.
