Mrs. Margaret McCracken Marks, 71, of Latrobe RD 6 died Monday, July 30, 1984, in
Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born Jan. 26, 1913, in Youngstown, a daughter of the
late Edward and Viola Artis McCracken, A member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church,
Lawson Heights, she was preceded in death by one brother, James McCracken, and one
grand-daughter, Lynn Ann. She is survived by her husband Oliver "Curley" Marks;
three sons, John Oliver Jr. of Latrobe, Richard Hughes Sr. of Bolivar and Ralph
Eugene of Latrobe RD 2; two daughters, Mrs. James (Shirley Jane) Moretti of Latrobe
RD 5, and Mrs. Thomas (Margaret Elaine) Cawoski of Latrobe RD 6; 22 grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Richard of Latrobe RD 4, Robert
and Joseph, both of Derry, and two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Eleanor) Martin of Derry and
Mrs. Clarence (Jane) Love of Youngstown. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 pm
Tuesday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday in James P Gaul Funeral Home Inc.,
Pleasant Unity. Service will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday in Prince of Peace Lutheran
Church, Lawson Heights, with the Rev. William E. Ordelt officiating. Interment will
follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Cook Township.
