Homer W. Marriott, 63, of 153 Ruby St., Derry, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 1985, in
Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born June 14, 1921, in Stafford, Kan., a
son of the late Chester and Ruth Dickson Marriott. Before his retirement in
1981, he was employed as an auto mechanic at Needham's Garage, Latrobe. He was a
member of Bible Baptist Church of Derry Township. In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by his first wife, Leona King Marriott, in 1974 and one
son, Douglas, in 1976. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ellen Reese Marriott;
one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Carol) Prentice of Bradenville; two sons, Chris D.
Wayne of Latrobe and Gregg Allen, stationed with the U. S. Navy in Brunswick,
Maine; six stepsons, Evan Clifford, David Alvin, Daniel Paul, Nelson Edward,
James Royal and Patrick Allen, and six grandchildren. Friends will be received
from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in M. S. Hartman Funeral Home, 1500 Ligonier
St., Latrobe. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel
with the Rev. Donald Carney and the Rev. Joseph Setter officiating. Interment
will follow in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
