He was born in Snowden, Pa., Dec. 2, 1898, a son of the late Adam and Nellie Benaskewicz Mazon. A retired mine worker, he was a member of United Mine Workers of America and Latrobe congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He is survived by his widow, Anna Lottick Mazon; five children, Mrs. James (Marie) Taylor of Latrobe R.D.4, Evelyn of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Paul (Irene) Matovcik of Delmont, Joseph of Grove City, Ohio, and William, at home; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, and four sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Mary Porembka of Latrobe, Mrs. Catherine Wechuck of Oakmont, Pa., Mrs. Helen Paradine of Pittsburgh, Mrs. John (Estella) Prah of Youngstown, Peter of Vallejo, Calif., and Adam of Latrobe R.D.4. Friends will be received in Richard W. Dell Home for Funerals, Latrobe, from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with Audley Couch officiating. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery.
