Mrs. McDowell was born May 10, 1851, in Cook township, this county. In 1870 she was married to Mr. K. A. McDowell of the same township and took up their home within its bounds. Surviving Mrs. McDowell are the following: her husband, two brothers, Reuben McKlveen of near Pleasant Grove church and William McKlveen of Canada; ten children: John H. McDowell of Ligonier and Miss May Matilda McDowell of Ligonier; Harry M. of Latrobe; Mrs. L. T. Martin of Ligonier; Mrs. B. D. Sibel of Greensburg; G. A. McDowell of Greensburg; Mrs. H. M. Cramer, Ligonier; C. A. McDowell of Latrobe; Mrs. Charles D. Patton of Greensburg; and Roy McDowell of Greensburg. One son, Denny C. had preceded the mother to his rest. Also surviving the beloved mother are 25 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church on Thursday morning at 10:30 and will be in charge of her pastor, Rev. Wm. F. Fleming. Interment will follow in the local cemetery.
