Latrobe Bulletin Tue May 31 1949
Mrs. Mary McCracken McDowell, 82, died Saturday at 4 p. m. at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Charles Taylor, of Fairfield Twp. She was the widow of the late
George McDowell. The following children survive: William J., Albert, Mrs.
William Schuler and Mrs. Charles Taylor, all of Fairfield Township. A sister,
Mrs. J. P. Barr, of Blairsville, also survives as do 16 grandchildren and 16
great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 pm at the
Ft. Palmer Presbyterian Church, in charge of the Rev. Walter D. Reed. pastor of
the Ligonier Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in the Ft. Palmer Cemetery.
