Born Aug. 28, 1906, in Latrobe, she was a daughter of the late M. Earl Saxman and Lillie Gallagher Saxman. Mrs. McKenna attended the Sorbonne University in Paris, France, and was a graduate of Wilson College. During World War II, she proudly volunteered for the Latrobe Area Hospital and the American Red Cross. An active person in her community, Mrs. McKenna was a member of the Latrobe Women's Club, Associated Artists of Pittsburgh, the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, Latrobe Presbyterian Church and the Rolling Rock Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Cleveland McKenna, and four siblings, Margaret Sayers, Ann Underwood, Lillie Watt and M. Earl Saxman Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia McKenna Glave of Richmond, Va., and Olivia McKenna August of New York City; two sons-in- law; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Hartman-Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Unity Chapel, Unity Township, with the Rev. J. Christy Ramsey officiating. Everyone please go directly to Unity Chapel.
