Latrobe Bulletin Sat, Jan 21, 1995 
Byron McMaster Sr., 91, of Bolivar RD, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 1995, in Latrobe
Area Hospital. He was born Oct. 3, 1903, in Latrobe, a son of the late Archibald
and Clarabell (Claycomb) McMaster. He was a member of New Hope Assembly of God
Church of Ligonier. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the Idlewild Park
Security Service. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife,
Ada G. Bier McMaster, in 1986; a daughter, Marjorie L. Burkholder, and a son,
Byron D. "Bud" Jr. Surviving are a daughter, Betty Vucina of Bolivar RD 1; a
son, Homer E. of Ligonier; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren, and three
great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from noon until 4 p.m. and 7
to 9 p.m. Sunday in J. Paul McCracken Funeral Home, 144 E. Main St., Ligonier,
where the service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. J. Clayton
Sheridan III officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Palmer Cemetery,
Fairfield Township.
