George R. Mercinko, 54, Youngstown, died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Veterans
Administration Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born January 28, 1908 in Youngstown, son of
the late Emery and Mary Urban Mercinko, he served with the U.S. Army during
World War II. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Youngstown, its Holy Name
Society and V.F.W. Post 3414, Latrobe. He is survived by these brothers and
sisters: Miss Margaret, Emery, Andrew, Joseph and Miss Mary, all at home;
Albert, Pitcairn; Mrs. Alvin (Florence) Greene, Lloydsville; Mrs. Rose Long,
Eugene and Rudy, all of Youngstown. The family will receive friends at the
Richard W. Dell Home for Funerals, 3 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. daily. A funeral mass
will be offered at 9 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Church by the Rev. Cyril
Vlossack, O.S.B. Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery. Military
services will be conducted at the graveside by local veterans' organizations.

Administration Hospital, Pittsburgh, at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 1962. The
family will receive friends at the Richard W. Dell Home for Funerals from 3 to 5
and 7 to 10 p.m. daily. Funeral mass will be held in the Sacred Heart Church,
Youngstown, at 9:00 a.m. Saturday with Fr. Cyril Vlossack, O.S.B. as celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery. Military services will be
conducted at the graveside by the local Veterans Organizations. Richard W. Dell
Funeral Director, Latrobe, in charge.
