Latrobe Bulletin Wed, Jun 26, 1957 
Howard Calvin Mershon, 76, Latrobe RD 4 Youngstown, died Tuesday at 7:45 a. m.
following an automobile accident. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church
of Youngstown and Carpenters Union, Local 2107. He and his wife, Mrs. R. Susan
Hughes Mershon, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 12. In addition
to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Miss Ruth L, at home, and Mrs.
Walter W. (Oma) Stile, Latrobe R D 4; four grandchildren; two brothers, Oscar
A., Latrobe RD 1, and Ira L., Petersburg. Va. Friends will be received at the
James P. Gaut Funeral Home, Pleasant Unity, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 10 p. m. daily.
Services will he held Friday at 2 pm in St. lames Lutheran Church, Youngstown,
in charge of the Rev. Bruce R. Shaffer. The body will lie in state a the church
from 1 pm until time of services. Interment will be in Unity Cemetery.
