Latrobe Bulletin Sat, Feb 14, 1987 
John Metil, 67, of 362 Barclay Ave., Forest Hills, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 1987,
in Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Dec. 3, 1919, in Marguerite, a
son of the late John and Anna Metil. Before retirement, he was employed for 45
years by Conrail. He was a member of St. Maurice Church of Forest Hills.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Olenik Metil; two sons, John of Minneapolis and
Robert Metil of Pittsburgh; three brothers, Michael, George and Joseph Metil,
all of Latrobe; two sisters, Mary Graham of Latrobe and Anne Como of Jeannette;
three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Frey-Vogel Funeral Home,
Center Ave., North Oakland, Pittsburgh. Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Maurice Church, Forest Hills. Interment will
follow in Braddock Hills Cemetery.
