Miller, 85, a retired school teacher, died at her home on East Church street at 4 p. m. Friday, December 19, following a lingering illness. Miss Miller had suffered a fractured hip this past summer from which she never recovered. A native of Ligonier. she started to teach at the age of 18 and continued her teaching for 34 years. She taught in Ligonier Twp., Cook Twp., Greensburg, Irwin and Ligonier schools. Miss Miller was a devout and active member of the Ligonier Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years until her health became impaired. One brother, Harry, survives, as do two nieces and two nephews. Funeral services in charge of her pastor, Rev. Hugh Stouppe, were held Sunday, Dec. 21, at 2:30 pm from her late home on East Church street. Interment was made in the Ligonier Valley cemetery.
