Mrs. Nancy H. Mowry, 84, 215 Fourth Ave., Derry, died Sunday at noon at the home
of her son, Russell B Mowry, 414 South Chestnut St., Derry. She was born Dec. 2,
1872, daughter of the late Lewis and Caroline Tantlinger Beener and was a member
of the Derry Lutheran Church and Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by these
children: Russell B., Derry; Glenn Y., Gerber, Calif.; Michael U., U. S. Air
Force stationed at Hickam Field, Honolulu, Hawaii; Lawrence L., Derry; Dean R.,
Sacramento. Calif.: six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-
great-grandchild. Three sisters also survive: Mrs. Margaret Parks, Pittsburgh;
Mrs. H. Guy Berry, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Edna Stitt, Greensburg.
Friends will be received at the Hughes Funeral Home, Derry, from 10 a. m. to 10
p. m. daily. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 pm daily.
Funeral services will be held there Wednesday at 2:30 pm with the Rev. William
O. Bradley officiating. Interment will be in Coles Cemetery, Derry.
