Mrs. Rachel Mumau, aged 91 years four months and eight days, one of the oldest
residents of this vicinity, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. Todd
Mumau, near Saint Xavier's. Mrs. Mumau had been in ill health for some time and
took seriously ill several days ago. She was born March 19, 1841. Mrs. Mumau is
survived by the following children: Mrs. G. W. Treese, Arcadia, Mrs. J. B.
Dunlap, Rossiter, Mrs. J. T. Mumau, of near St. Xavier's, E. S. Mumau of Marion
Center, Mrs. Malcolm Dunlap of Rossiter. Short services will be held at the
Mumau home at 12:15 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Regular services will he held
later at East Mahoney, where interment is to be made.
