Nagel, 74, of Latrobe died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1997, in Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born Jan. 26, 1923, in Luxor, a daughter of the late Andrew and Jenny (Marol) Brosnick. She was a member of Holy Family Church, Latrobe. A 1947 graduate of the Latrobe Hospital School of Nursing, she retired in 1983 as a registered nurse from Latrobe Area Hospital, where she worked in ICU and CCU. She was a past member of the Latrobe Junior Women's Club, a member of the Pennsylvania Nurses Association and did private duty nursing. She was the secretary and chairwoman of the Private Duty Section and the former secretary for the Latrobe Area Nurses Alumni and its last acting president in 1970 and 1971, when the school closed. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Agnes Amole, and two brothers, Andrew Brosnick Jr. and Joseph Brosnick. Surviving are her husband, Russell H. Nagel; two sons, Richard P. (and his wife, Mary Lou) of Stephens, Va., and Darryl L Nagel of Coconut Creek, Fla.; her daughter, Beth A. (and her husband, David) Koskoski of Fairview; four brothers, George and Paul Brosnick, both of Latrobe, Albert and William Brosnick, both of Luxor; four sisters, Mary Johnson of Wyandotte, Mich., Mrs. John (Irene) Noel, Evelyn Cackowski and Mrs. William (Pauline) Tometsko, all of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Scott and Gretchen Koskoski and Julie and Christy Nagel, and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Funeral mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Thursday In Holy Family Church, Latrobe. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Unity Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Western Pennsylvania, 201 Smith Drive, Cranberry Professional Park, Cranberry, PA 16066. Holy Family Rosary Society will recite the rosary at 3 p.m. Wednesday In the funeral home.
