Latrobe Advance Wed, Feb 20, 1889
Thankful Naugle, wife of Joseph Naugle, deceased, late of Laughlintown,
Westmoreland County, Pa., died at her residence February 14, 1889, at the age of
83 years. Her husband, who had preceded her 12 years across the dark valley and
shadow of death was also at the ripe old age of 83 years when the summons came.
She was the mother of 15 children, 60 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Twelve of her children survive her… On Saturday, the 16th, a large concourse of
relatives and friends followed the mortal remains to the cemetery at Ligonier,
beside that of her departed husband...
