Latrobe Bulletin (Latrobe, Pennsylvania) 2 Nov 1936
Walter S. Newcomer, of Boston, Mass., a son of the late James and Caroline Newcomer,
of Latrobe, died at his home, 14 Westmoreland Ave., Boston, Mass., Saturday,
following a lingering illness. Mr. Newcomer was a printer by trade, having worked in
Greensburg for a number of years. Eighteen years ago he moved to Boston where he had
been employed as general superintendent of the Christian Science Monitor. He is
survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma Park Newcomer; one sister, Mrs. R. E. Welshons of
Latrobe; and one half-brother, William Dodds, of Latrobe. Funeral services were held
from his late home, this afternoon, with interment following in the Dorchester,
Mass., cemetery.
