The Ligonier Echo Wed, Apr 29, 1925
Mrs. Martha Nicely, for many years a resident of Ligonier township, died at the
home of her son, H. L. Nicely of East Church street on Monday, April 27, 1925,
following an illness of several months. She was born May 16, 1846 and was aged
78 years, 11 months and 11 days. She is survived by six children: five sons, J.
M. Nicely of Trafford James E. Nicely, H. I. Nicely, of Ligonier; Grover Nicely
and Frank Nicely of Ligonier township, one daughter, Mrs. Mary Hunt of
Uniontown. Also survived by two sisters: Mrs Howard and Mrs. Blackston; 24
grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held this
(Wednesday) afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of her son, H. I. Nicely on East
Church street, conducted by Rev. Theo. Duch. Interment in Valley cemetery.
