I. Nicely, of East Church St., Ligonier, after having been bedfast since July, 1942, following a stroke. He was born on July 25, 1866, the oldest son of the late Asher K. Nicely and Martha Auckerman Nicely. He left the Ligonier Valley 42 years ago and moved to Trafford where he was engaged as a contractor. In August, 1941, he retired and made his home with his brother, in Ligonier. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Agnes Nicely, of Trafford; one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Piper, of Cook Twp.; three sons, Wilbert, Trafford; Gilbert, in the U. S. Army, and Edgar in the U. S. Army. His oldest son, Ralph, preceded him in death last Saturday, February 6th. One sister, Mrs. Mary Hunt, of Uniontown, and two brothers, H. 1. Nicely. of Ligonier. and James Nicely, of Ligonier Twp., also survive. Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the V. V. Gaskin Funeral Home in Ligonier, with interment following in the Ligonier Valley cemetery.
