The Daily Courier (Connellsville, Pennsylvania) · 12 & 13 Feb 1951, Mon & Tue  
Jesse E. Nichols, 85, of 616 Morrell Ave., died at his home 
this morning. A retired employee of the West Penn Railways 
Company, he worked as a motorman until 1933 after first 
starting to work for that firm December 12, 1900. He was 
born at Unity, Westmoreland County, April 28, 1865, a son of 
John Crossly and Elizabeth Kingsworth Nichols. He was a 
member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the men's Bible class 
and Brotherhood. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Jennie 
Herbert Nichols, and a son, Ellis E. Nichols, of Phoenix, 
Arizona. Funeral services will be held at his home at 2 
0'clock Thursday afternoon with Rev. Richard M. Langsdale 
officiating. Interment in the Green Ridge Memorial Park.
