Mrs. Morrison Noel, 78, died unexpectedly Monday evening, 
Oct. 2, 1961, in her home in Darlington. She was buried 
yesterday in Ligonier Valley Cemetery following final rights 
in Sibel-Wolford Funeral Home conducted by Rev. George H. 
Wright of Covenant United Presbyterian Church, of which she 
was a member. She was born August 8, 1883, in Ligonier 
township, and lived here all her life. She was the daughter 
of the late William and Sarah Ferry, and is survived by her 
husband, Morrison M. Noel, three sons: W. Everett Noel of 
Ligonier, clerk of the Westmoreland County Commission; Paul 
E., of Johnstown; and Bert E. of Greensburg; a daughter, 
Mrs. Harry Rose of Ligonier; three brothers and three 
sisters: John and Milton Ferry of Aliquippa; Charles Ferry 
of Latrobe; Mrs. Blanche Ambrose and Mrs. Mae Bates of 
Ligonier twp.; and Mrs Elmeda Amon of McDonald; nine 
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
