Louis Noel, 738 Sellers Ave., Jeannette, died Wednesday 
morning, 4/28/1971, in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. 
He was born in Latrobe, and was a retired expediter for the 
Elliott Co., Jeannette. He was the son of the late Frank and 
Bertha Kistner Noel. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Catherine 
Checkhart Noel, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. 
Oscar (Mary) Olson, Greensburg; Jake, Latrobe; Thomas, 
Latrobe RD 2; Adelaine and Mrs. Ann Terry, Baltimore, Md., 
and Mrs. Florence Greaves, Ohio. He was a member of Sacred 
Heart Church, Jeannette, and Knights of Columbus 1222, Holy 
Name Society and was a benedictine oblate, affiliated with 
St. Vincent Archabbey. Friends will be received at the Birk 
Funeral Home, Jeannette, with viewing beginning 7 pm 
Thursday, and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm Friday.
