Noel, aged 64, of 1608 Ligonier St., died in the Latrobe Hospital at 6:50 o'clock last night, January 18, 1929. His left arm was fractured in two places. While at first he seemed to be improving, he never recovered completely from the injury, and had been in failing health ever since. Complications set in, and on December 20th, the Friday preceding Christmas, he was taken to the hospital. He grew steadily worse until the time of his death. Mr. Noel, with a son and two daughters, was walking home from ordination services at St. Vincent's at the time the accident occurred. The deceased was an employee of the Railway Steel Spring Company, having been with them since 1895. He was a son of the late Jacob Noel and Mary Zinc Noel, being born in Unity twp. In 1895, he played center on the Latrobe football team. He was the heaviest center in Western Pennsylvania at the time, weighing 206 pounds. He is survived by his widow and the following children: Adeline, of Pittsburgh; Thomas of Brooklyn; Lewis, Margaret, Mary Jane, Anna Ruth, Florence, Kathryn and Jacob, all of Latrobe. He is also survived by his mother, who at 89 years of age, still enjoys the best of health. She lives at Crabtree. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. J. J. Stevenson, Unity Township; Mrs. Charles McCarthy of Greensburg; George of Latrobe; John Noel of Ligonier; Joe Noel of Latrobe; Charles Noel of Unity Township; Leo of Unity Township; and Ray of Latrobe.
