Joseph B. Noel, aged 83 years, died this morning at 6:45 o'clock at his home on
East Church street, Ligonier. He was a retired block maker, having been employed
at the Booth and Flinn Quarries, at Longbridge. Surviving are three sons: Frank,
of Ligonier; Russell, of near Uniontown, and Joseph. at home; two sisters. Mrs.
Laura Verwelsh, of Darlington, and Mrs. Lawrence Ferry, of Greensburg; and one
brother, Morrison Noel, of Darlington. Nine grandchildren and two great
grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:30 p. m.,
from the late residence in charge of the Rev. D. Alan Martens, pastor of the
Ligonier Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
