Latrobe Bulletin Tue, Feb 15, 2000 
Bernard L Noel Sr., 81, of Latrobe RD 9 died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, in IHS of
Mountain View, Unity Township. He was born Aug. 12, 1918, in Latrobe, a son of
the late Charles and Alice (Ransel) Noel. A retired employee of Hempfield
Foundries, he had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member
of St. Vincent Basilica, Unity Township; past president of the Old Crabtree
Sportsmen's Association, and a member of Cooperstown Veteran's and Sportsman's
Association, Frontier Club of Latrobe, Thomas B. Anderson American Legion Post
515, Latrobe, and the Pleasant Unity VFW Post 8643.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded In death by his wife, Dorothy Hayes
Noel, and a brother, Charles. Surviving are his son, Bernard L Jr. (and his
wife, Patricia) of Latrobe RD 9; four grandchildren, Bernard L III (and his
wife, Natalie) Noel, William (and his wife, Brooke) Noel, Robert (and his wife,
Heidi) Noel and Tracey Zundel (and her husband, David); four great-
grandchildren, Shelby, Samantha, Andrew and Brandon; a brother, Eugene of
Jeannette, and his sister, Marie Gessier of Latrobe. Friends will be received 7
to 9 p.m. Monday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Kepple-Graft Funeral Home
Inc., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Wednesday in St. Vincent Basilica, Unity Township. Interment will follow in St.
Clair Cemetery. The family has requested memorial contributions to one's
favorite charity.
