Mr. Noel was horn in Ligonier township and lived in the borough of Ligonier for the past 40 years. He was widely known and took an active part in all civic affairs. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and a charter member of the Ligonier Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Ligonier Presbyterian Church. In 1892 he and Miss Elizabeth Hunter were married. Mrs. Noel and three daughters, Mrs. Charles Dodson, Ligonier; Miss Grace Noel, at home, and Mrs. W. H. Keeler, St. Clair street, Greensburg, survive as do four sons: Roy, Trafford; Clarence, Ligonier; Ralph, Cleveland; and John, Scranton. Four sisters, Mrs. A. M. Karnes and Mrs. Birdie Young, Meadville; Mrs. Edward Bitner, Ligonier; and Mrs. Jane Clark, Derry, and three brothers, Edward and Milton, Laughlintown; and Harry, Euclid avenue, Greensburg and five grandchildren also survive. Funeral services conducted by the Rev. W. H. Fleming of West Newton were held at the home this (Wednesday) afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment was made in the Valley Cemetery.
