Richard F. O'Barto, 24, of Derry R.D. 2, died as a result of an automobile
accident Saturday morning in Somerset County. He was born March 6, 1953, in
Latrobe, son of Robert O'Barto and Martha Volpe O'Barto of Derry R.D. 2. He was
employed by the Henry Beerchuck Paving Co. and a veteran of the U. S. Army. In
addition to his parents he is survived by one brother, Mark, and one sister,
Kathleen, both at home; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ella Mae O'Barto of Latrobe,
and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Dorothy Volpe of Derry R.D. 2. Family will
receive friends in Michael J. Quinlisk Funeral Home, Derry, from 2 to 4 and 7 to
9 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the
funeral home with Pastor Gary Jones of the Independent Bible Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery.
