After an illness of several weeks with pneumonia, William 
Overly, a well known farmer of the Ligonier Valley, and who 
for a number of years had made his home with his daughters 
in Latrobe, died yesterday afternoon at his home near 
Ligonier, at the advanced age of 74 years. He had been 
failing in health for some time past, and owing to his 
advanced age, was unable to rally from the attack of 
pneumonia, with which he was stricken. The deceased is 
survived by his wife and seven children. Three of his 
daughters, Mrs. Bert Gibson, Mrs. Jno. McMahon and Miss Mae 
Overly make their home in Latrobe, the latter being 
connected with the Advance.
