Phillip Kline Overly, 89, of 313 Hickory Ave., Derry, died 
Saturday night. He was born March 8, 1885, in Westmoreland 
County, son of the late William and Sarah Jane Menoher 
Overly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth 
Belle Overly in 1971. He was a retired coal miner and member 
of the Derry Ukrainian Society and the UMWA 5742. He is 
survived by three daughters: Mrs. Florence Thompson of 
Derry; Mrs. Everrett (Gladys) White of Dallas, Tx., Mrs. 
Hazel Hall of Richmond, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche 
McMahon and Olive Overly, both of Latrobe; eight 
grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Family will 
receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Monday in Michael 
J. Quinlisk Funeral Home, Derry, where services will be held 
at 11 am, Tuesday with the Rev. Peter Wendell officiating. 
Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.
