Mrs. Ruth Friedline Palmer, 91, of Whitney, died Friday, June 12, 1987, in the
Westmoreland Manor. She was born Aug. 8, 1895, in Unity Twp., a daughter of the
late Josiah and Mary Shaffer Friedline. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic
Church, Whitney. She was predeceased by her husband Leo J. in 1950; two sons,
Thomas and Edward, and five brothers and four sisters. Surviving are five sons,
John E. and James R. both of Latrobe, William L. of Valley Center, Calif.,
Robert L. of Strongstown, Pa., and George D. of Hanover Park, Ill.; six
daughters, Mrs. Victor (Helen) Miller of Greensburg, Mrs. Clarence (Margaret)
Graham, Mrs. James (Patricia) Vasinko, both of Latrobe, Josephine M. Zimmerman
of Greensburg RD 3, Mrs. Thomas (Rita) Keenan of Herminie, Mrs. Richard (Sara)
Felbaum of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, 30 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the
James P. Gaut Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasant Unity. Mass of Christian Burial will
be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Cecilia's Church. Interment will follow
in St. Vincent Cemetery.
