She was born Saturday, Oct. 19, 1935, in Ligonier, a daughter of the late Paul G. and Elizabeth (Berkey) Thomas. She was a member of Waterford United Methodist Church. Charlotte graduated from the Latrobe Hospital School of Nursing in 1956. Before her retirement she worked as a Registered Nurse for McGinnis Hospital, Pinehurst Nursing Home, Edgewood Nursing Home and the Bethlen Home. She was an avid Steelers fan, liked needle work and bird watching. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert M. "Milt", Theodore "Ted" and Paul A. "Al" Thomas Sr.; and two sisters, Betty Lou Eckels and Jean McDonald. Charlotte is survived by two daughters, Susan E. (Bondra) and her husband, Nicholas Cassudakis, of Canfield, Ohio, and Kathleen A. (Bondra) and her husband, William Boss, of Pittsburgh; four sons, Michael J. and his wife, Teresa Pedicone, of Derry, Matthew A. and his wife, Nicole Pedicone, of Lebanon, Ohio, Mark E. Pedicone, of Ligonier, and Max A. and his wife, Heidi Pedicone, of Latrobe; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 300 W. Third Ave., Derry. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Waterford United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Richard E. Bowser officiating. Interment will follow in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery, Ligonier.
