Died, at her home in Westmoreland county, July 13, 1880, Frances Pershing, other of
Rev. J. H. Pershing, in her 77th year. Mrs. Pershing was born in 1803, near Lebanon,
Lebanon county, Pa., where the first United Brethren society was formed… She was of
the family of Rev. A. Truxel, one of the founders of the church, and related to
Revs. John and Abram Hershey, and John and Martin Crider, who were among the early
fathers…
