Latrobe Bulletin Fri, Jan 02, 1959
Samuel Piper, 87, of Latrobe R. D. 4, died this morning at his home. Born in
Cook Township, Nov. 19, 1871, he was a son of the late William S. and Elizabeth
Stahl Piper. Surviving are his widow, Mary Piper, one son, Leo, Latrobe R. D, 4:
one daughter, Delores Sherer, Latrobe R. D. 4: one step-son. Johnson Baum.
Latrobe R. D. 4. one step-daughter. Mrs. Anna Miller, Latrobe R. D. 4: four
brothers: William and Adam Latrobe R. D. 4: Eugene, Star Route, Ligonier; and
Wilson, Ligonier. Friends will be received at the Boyd Snyder Funeral Home.,
Stahlstown, after 7 p. m. this evening and until noon Sunday, when the body will
be removed to the Bethel Lutheran Church, Latrobe R. D. 4. where it will lie in
state from 1:30 to 2:30 p. m. when services will be conducted in charge of his
pastor, the Rev. Stewart Proper. Interment will be made in the Bethel Cemetery.
