She was born Feb. 11, 1917, in Lockport, a daughter of the late James D. and Martha (Fulcomer) Trimble. Janet was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Youngstown. She was a graduate of Clarion University. She was a retired school teacher for the Greater Latrobe School District, having taught for more than 30 years. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Latrobe and the Pennsylvania State Education Association for retired teachers. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis V. Planinsek, on Sept. 20, 1993; two brothers, James W. and Frederick R. Trimble; her sister, Claire M. (Trimble) Donahue, and a nephew, Harry R. Trimble. Janet is survived by two nephews, James F. Trimble and his wife, Nancy, of New Florence and William R. Trimble and his wife, Letitia, of Pflugerville, Texas; a niece, Bonnie L. Trimble of New Florence; five sisters-in-law: Betty Trimble of New Florence; Rose Planinsek of Latrobe; Josephine Olzak of Latrobe; Genevieve Planinsek of Latrobe, and Janet Jackman Planinsek of Latrobe, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Family and friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. David P. von Schlichten officiating. Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery, Unity Town-ship. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4329 State Route 982, Box 356, Youngstown, PA 15696.
