Edward F. Poche, 85, of Mount Pleasant RD 1 (Weltytown) died Sunday, Sept. 17,
1989, in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born July 28, 1904, in Cleveland, Ohio, a
son of the late Richard and Barbara Woods Poche. Prior to his retirement, he was
employed by Standard Steel Co. of Latrobe. He was a member of St. Paul's
Evangelical Lutheran Church of Trauger. In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by a son, Charles E. Poche, in 1983; a brother, and three
sisters. He is survived by his wife, Anna Mabel Shirey Poche; four daughters,
Mrs. Jay (Mary Helen) Dunn and Mrs. Dean (An-na Katheryn) Reese, both of Mount
Pleasant RD 1, Mrs. Mike (Sally) Mott of Greensburg RD 5 and Mrs. Michael
(Paulette) Zarnik of Germany; a son, Richard E. Poche of Hutchinson; 15
grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends
will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in
James P. Gaut Funeral Home Inc., Pleasant Unity. Service will be held at 1 p.m.
Wednesday in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trauger, with the Revs.
Eric M. Riesen and Charles H. Frederickson co-officiating. Interment will be in
St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Township.
