Michael J. Poorman, a retired farmer of Unity township, died 
a 3 o'clock last night, after an illness of more than three 
years duration. He was 78 years old at the time of his 
death. He is survived by his widow and six children: Charles 
of Vandergrift; George of Bridgeport, Ohio; Mrs. Logan Harr 
of Whitney; Mrs. Charles M. Shirey of Greensburg; Mrs. Wm. 
Kolling of Pleasant Unity; Miss Margaret Poorman, at home. 
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren. Funeral 
arrangements will be announced later. Mr. Poorman was well 
known in this vicinity. Recently he had been making his home 
in Greensburg, where he died, but at one time he lived in 
Pleasant Unity. The funeral will be held in St. Paul's 
Reformed Church at Pleasant Unity, on Monday afternoon, at 2 
o'clock. Interment following in the Pleasant Unity cemetery.
