John J. Prah, 81, of Youngstown died Monday, Dec. 20, 1993, in Mountain View
Center. He was born March 14, 1912, in Uniontown, a son of the late John and
Louise (Lekse) Prah. He was a retired United Mine Worker. In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Louis, and two sisters, Mary
Ream and Rose Benedict. He is survived by his wife, A. Estella Mazon Prah; three
sons, John of Dayton, Ohio, Robert of Colorado and William of Texas; two
brothers, Fred of New Derry and Rudy of Derry; a sister, Frances O'Patka of New
Derry, and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 5
and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., 601 Weldon St.,
Latrobe. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart
Church, Youngstown, with the Rev. Aelred J. Beck, OSB, as celebrant. Interment
will be In St. Vincent Cemetery, Unity Township.
