Mrs. Ella Washnock Pundai, 84, of Hostetter died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 1986, in
Greensburg. Born Oct. 22, 1901, in Whitney, she was a daughter of the late
Phillip K. and Martha Houck Washnock. She was a member of Prince of Peace
Lutheran Church, Lawson Heights, Unity Township, and the Degree of Honor Lodge
61 of Latrobe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Pundai, in
1956; two brothers, Anthony and Joseph Washnock, and one sister, Carrie
Hamilton. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Regis (Virginia) Murphy of Hostetter
and Mrs. William (Alverta) Robinson of Pennsville, N.J.; one son, Joseph P. of
Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three sisters, Margaret Black of West Chester, Mrs. Dean
(Katherine) Murphey of Front Royal, Va., and Elizabeth Beam of Latrobe, and six
grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in James P.
Gaut Funeral Home Inc., Pleasant Unity. Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday
in the funeral home with the Rev. William E. Ordelt officiating. Interment will
follow in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
