The Ligonier Echo (Ligonier, Pennsylvania) 04 Jun 1965
Funeral services were held yesterday for Arthur W. "Buck" Queer, 83, of RD 2,
Ligonier, who died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hady Stahl of Bethel
Church, Cook township. Rev. Merle N. Weimer conducted the services in L. Boyd Snyder
Funeral Home; burial was in Fairmont cemetery. Mr. Queer was born July 24, 1881, in
Cook township, son of Sanson R. and Mary Fisher Queer. He was a laborer and formerly
worked for the State Highway Department. Surviving are five sons: Earl, Glenn and
Walter of Star Route, Ligonier, Clarence of RD 1 and Clair of RD 2, Ligonier; three
daughters, Mrs. Stahl, Mrs. John Brown of Johnstown and Mrs. Marshall Perry of
Ligonier; a brother, Harry "Tink" Queer of RD 3 Ligonier, and two sisters, Mrs.
Carrie Brant of RD 1 Ligonier, and Mrs. Ophie Dillon of RD, Mt. Pleasant, 54
grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
