Latrobe Bulletin Thu, Mar 31, 1994 
Mrs. Mary P. "Ansel" Ransel, 80, of Latrobe RD 2 (Carney Road), died Wednesday,
March 30, 1994, at her home. She was born Aug. 24, 1913, in Weltytown, a
daughter of the late Lewis and Mary E. (Struble) Ansel. She was a graduate of
the California (Pa.) and the Indiana (Pa.) state teachers colleges and had
retired after 25 years of teaching in the Unity Township and Greater Latrobe
school districts. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church of Latrobe
and its Anti-Can't Class. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by
four brothers, Jacob, Samuel, Lloyd and William Ansel. Surviving are her
husband, Raymond J. Ransel; two daughters, Viola R. and Ruth A. Ransel, both of
home; two brothers, Leroy Ansel of Latrobe and George Ansel of McClellandtown;
two sisters, Edna Christopher of Tempe, Ariz., and Viola Osborne of Long Island,
N.Y., and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m.
Thursday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Gaut-Dacha Funeral Home Inc.,
Pleasant Unity. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Bethany
United Methodist Church, Latrobe, with the Rev. Richard W. Shields officiating.
Interment will follow In Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
