  Mrs. M.E. Reed Dead
  Mrs. M.E. Reed, mother of S.P. Reed, died at ten o'clock, this morning, at he 
  home, No. 130 Thompson street, following a lingering illness. She had been 
  declining in health since last March, and her death was not unexpected. She 
  had been a resident of Latrobe for many years. She was born on a farm, about 
  three miles from New Alexandria, in 1836, and it was there that her girlhood 
  was spent. She was 80 years and six months old, today. She is survived by two 
  children; S.P. Reed, of Latrobe; and Mrs. J.E. Andreson, of Fairmont, W. Va. 
  The funeral services will be held at the residence at 1:45 o'clock, Wednesday 
  afternoon the Rev. R. C. Betts being in charge. Both the services and the 
  interment will be private. The home will be open to friends tomorrow. LATROBE
