Reeping, 92, of Latrobe, died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, in Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Jan. 6, 1907, in Latrobe, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Schmidt) Reeping. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Latrobe, and its Rosary Society. Miss Reeping taught at Youngwood High School for two years, and 38 years at Latrobe High School. She was the author of the book entitled "Life's Reflections." She also was a member of Holy Family Rosary Society, St. John Senior Society, Silver Threads of Holy Family Church, St. Vincent Senior Group, Latrobe Golden Agers, St. Vincent Rosary Society, and Friends of St. Vincent Seminary, all of Latrobe; Kappa Gammi PI, Seton Hill College; Delta Kappa Gamma; Westmoreland County Retired Teachers' Organization; Pennsylvania Retired Teachers Organization, and Pennsylvania Classical Association of Pittsburgh and vicinity. She was the last surviving member of her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded In death by six brothers: Fred A. Sr., Henry, Ernest, John, Theodore and Joseph Reeping, and three sisters, Margaret Nowe, Rose Reeping and Ann Reeping. Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday in St. John the Evangelist Church, Latrobe, with the Rev. Thomas Lukac as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Unity Township. Holy Family Rosary Society will recite the rosary at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. St. John Rosary Altar Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
