Latrobe Bulletin Mon, May 03, 1993
Kenneth J. Rhoades, 68, of Latrobe RD 4 (formerly of New Florence) died May 2,
1993, in Latrobe Area Hospital. Born August 25, 1924, in New Florence, he was a
son of the late Ralph and Mildred Campbell Rhoades. A veteran of World War II
and Korean Conflict, he was a retired veteran of the U. S. Air Force with 24
years of service, retired from Dosser Industries with 20 years as a service
representative, was a life member of VFW Post 7622, New Florence, and member of
Hood-Vanatt American Legion Post 307, New Florence. In addition to his parents,
he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert, and a sister, Annabelle.
Surviving are his wife, the former Alice M. Howard, and these children: James,
Vincent of Olympia, Wash., Keith of Belleville, Ill., and Eric at home; a
grandson, Landon, and a sister, Nancy Berkey of Blairsville. Friends will be
received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Horne,
New Florence, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev.
George Jones officiating. Interment will be in Fairfield Cemetery. Military
rites will be performed by local veterans organizations.
