Edward Luther Ribblet, 71, of Latrobe, died Sunday, April 21, 2013, at home. He
was born April 29, 1941, in Ligonier, son of the late Luther Grover Ribblet and
the late Goldie E. (Peterson) Ribblet. He retired in 2005 from Carclo Technical
Plastics of Latrobe where he worked as a welder. He was a member of Bethel
Evangelical Lutheran Church ELCA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by a sister, Jeannie (Ribblet) Jellison. He is survived by his wife of 48
years, Carolyn (Marks) Ribblet; two children, Douglas Ribblet and his wife,
Barbara, and Jeffery Ribblet; two grandchildren, Michael Ribblet and Katie
Ribblet; three step-grandchildren, Jack Peffer, Laura Moore, Andrea Kelly; two
step-great-grandchildren Destinee Kelly and Brianna Moore; a sister, Cathy
Ribblet; and two nieces, Tracy Krepps and Donna Loucks. Visitation will be from
2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC.,
1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m.
Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., with the Rev. Wayne
G. Gillespie officiating. Private burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Cook
